Arctic Expedition
by Lorraine L. Ukens
Participants embark on a journey into the frozen, forbidding landscape of the arctic. With this activity, work groups wander into the unknown, and they emerge as high-performing teams.
In this icy wasteland survival simulation, participants must decide the importance for survival of each of the 12 available items. After individually ranking these items, teams must reach agreement on them in order to succeed.
Any work setting is suitable for conducting this exciting activity. The facilitator, who does not need to be a training professional, will need a copy of the Leader's Guide, which provides detailed instructions about conducting the simulation. Each participant needs a copy of the Activity, the guidebook to this exhilarating experience.
Teams rarely realize that their combined force vastly exceeds the power of any single team member. In this icy wasteland, leaders will spark a synergy that set teams afire.
